Announcement: Delaware Chess Association Partners with Delaware Chess Champs at Bellevue Community Centre for 'Chess for All' Program

The Delaware Chess Association (DCA) is delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Delaware Chess Champs. This collaboration launches the 'Chess for All' program, starting December 14, 2024, at the Bellevue Community Centre. The initiative is dedicated to expanding the awareness and reach of chess across Delaware's communities.

Delaware Chess Champs, founded by Siddharth Bose (Sid), a distinguished chess talent and long-standing member of the DCA, is a significant step in our goal to make chess accessible statewide. Sid, who began his chess journey with the DCA at the age of 5, is now ranked 14th in Delaware and 75th in the Under 11 category across the USA.

The 'Chess for All' program, hosted at the Bellevue Community Centre, is designed to do more than just teach chess. It aims to foster strategic thinking, patience, and sportsmanship among participants, focusing on reaching various communities, particularly those with limited access to chess resources.

Our partnership with Delaware Chess Champs, under Sid's leadership, demonstrates our commitment to nurturing a rich, inclusive chess culture in Delaware. This initiative is pivotal in discovering and developing new talents and spreading the joy and benefits of chess to a wider audience.

We warmly invite everyone in the community to join us at the Bellevue Community Centre starting January 11, 2024, from 6:30 pm onwards, for this exciting journey. Stay updated on the 'Chess for All' program as we work together to checkmate barriers and share our love for chess.

Delaware Chess Champs is a dynamic, new initiative, operating under the auspices of the Delaware Chess Association. Dedicated to promoting chess throughout Delaware, it's at the forefront of community engagement and chess education, especially with the Bellevue Community Centre as its hub.

The mission of the 'Chess for All' Program is to cultivate a widespread appreciation for chess among people of all ages and skill levels in the community. The program includes organizing local chess events, providing comprehensive educational resources, and offering tailored training sessions at the Bellevue Community Centre.

By exemplifying commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in chess, Delaware Chess Champs and its programs resonate with the community, ensuring that the rich heritage and intellectual rigor of chess are shared widely and enthusiastically.
